🚉 Train & Coach Station / Service How Far / Location What It Gives You Birmingham New Street Station ~5-10 minute walk from Digbeth. Major rail hub: lots of local, regional, and inter-city trains. Useful for getting across the UK. Birmingham Moor Street Station Also nearby, generally walkable. Good for shorter regional services. Less busy than New Street but very useful. Digbeth / Birmingham Coach Station Right in Digbeth. National Express coaches and other long-distance / cross-country coach services. Great for getting to/from other cities or the airport. 🚌 Bus Services There are lots of bus routes in and around Digbeth. Some stop on Digbeth High Street, others from nearby streets like Bradford St / Rea St. Some of the routes you might use: 50 / 50A — serves Digbeth / city centre. 6, 17, 37, 58, 59, 60, 97 etc — multiple routes pass through or very close. X1, X2 — longer routes. Useful if you’re going further out, or to catch bus from the coach station. 🚋 Metro / Light Rail (Tram) There is an ongoing project — the Midland Metro (West Midlands Metro) Eastside extension — which will add tram / light rail stops through Digbeth, particularly along High Street Deritend, connecting Bull Street, Curzon Street, etc. Birmingham City Council It’s not fully operational yet everywhere — some sections are being built and will open in phases. Birmingham City Council 🚶 Walk / Bike Because Digbeth is very close to Birmingham’s city centre, many places are walkable. For example, the Bullring is about a 10-minute walk There is investment in active travel (walking, cycling, wheeling) — new / improved footpaths, cycle routes, better public realm.
